Wedding Catering in Akron, Ohio

Plated dinners, buffets, morning of brunch, the dessert table and the cake, all from one kitchen on East Market Street.

One vendor for the dinner, the desserts and the cake.

Wedding catering is the job where the menu gets built around two people rather than pulled off a package sheet. Tell us what you love, what your families expect on the table, and what the room can handle, and we build to it. Plated dinners, hot buffets with chafing service, and brunch spreads for the morning of are all done from the same Akron kitchen.

Desserts are made from scratch in house, so the dessert table and the wedding cake come with the catering instead of from a second vendor with a second timeline. Individual dessert cups, cheesecakes, bars and mini pies can sit alongside the cake or replace it.

Setup and display styling are part of the job. Tables, backdrops and serving stations are staged so the food looks as good as it tastes, and someone from the team can stay on site to serve if you want the line handled.

Akron weddings, from the Portage Path estates to a tent in the Valley.

Akron books its weddings early and close to home. The manor house at Stan Hywet on North Portage Path seats 175, the ballrooms at Todaro’s on Akron Peninsula Road run to 1,000, and Guy’s on East Waterloo takes anything from 50 to 400. Tented receptions in Cuyahoga Valley backyards, church halls in Firestone Park and Goodyear Heights, and lodge rooms out toward Peninsula all need the same thing from a caterer: a plan for the room you actually have.

Our kitchen sits at 647 E Market Street, so a Saturday run to a downtown venue is minutes, and Fairlawn, Cuyahoga Falls, Stow, Hudson and Green are all inside a half hour. The request form asks for the venue address, the setup window and the serving time, because an outdoor reception off Merriman Road and a hotel ballroom on West Market Street are different jobs.

Spring and fall Saturdays go first across Summit County. If you have a date, hold it with us now even if the menu is months away.

What comes with it.

The request form covers vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, dairy free, kosher and halal and the nine common allergens, with room to tell us how serious each one is.

Before you book.

How far ahead should we book wedding catering in Akron?
As soon as you have the venue and the date. Two weeks is the minimum for any event, but Akron wedding weekends in May, June, September and October fill months out. Holding the date costs nothing and locks our calendar before the menu is settled.
Can you do the wedding cake and the dessert table as well as dinner?
Yes, and it is the reason most couples call us. The cake, the dessert cups, the cheesecakes and the bars come out of the same kitchen as the dinner, so there is one delivery, one setup and one person to call on the day.
What does wedding catering cost per person?
Dinner starts at $15 per person, appetizers at $11, brunch at $9 and dessert at $6. Those are floors from our request form, not quotes. Tell us your budget per person and your guest count and we build the menu to that number.
Do you work with the venue on setup and timing?
Yes. The request form asks for the venue, the setup window, the start and end times and the service style. We coordinate arrival, staging and the serving line with the venue, and someone from the team can stay on site to run service if you want it handled.
