Accessibility Statement

Tasteful Expectations wants this site to work for everyone, including people using a screen reader, a keyboard on its own, or a phone with text scaled up.

What has been done

• Every image carries alternative text describing what is actually in the photo
• One h1 per page and headings in order, so a screen reader can navigate by structure
• Colour is never the only way information is conveyed, and text contrast is checked at every breakpoint
• Every interactive control is reachable by keyboard and shows a visible focus outline
• Animation is disabled for anyone whose device is set to reduce motion
• Buttons and links are sized for touch on a phone
• Form fields have real labels, not placeholder text standing in for them

Known gaps

• The embedded Google map is a third party component and its accessibility is outside our control. The full address and phone number are given as text on the contact page so the map is never the only route to that information.
• Some photography came from social media at low resolution and may be soft when magnified.
