The line is the whole job.
A buffet looks simple from the guest side. From ours it is math: how fast the line moves, how long each pan has to hold, when the second pan goes in, and how the last person through gets the same plate as the first. We build the menu around the headcount and the room before we talk about dishes.
Hot buffets run in chafing service with the display styled, from a shrimp and grits and chicken and waffles line to a full dinner spread. Lunch buffets start at $13 per person and dinner at $15. Add a grazing table for the standing hour or a dessert table to close.

Akron is a hall town. Guy’s Party Center on East Waterloo Road runs three ballrooms from 50 to 400 guests, Todaro’s on Akron Peninsula Road goes to 1,000, and the church halls, union halls and veterans posts in Firestone Park, Kenmore, Ellet and North Hill fill most Saturdays with repasts, anniversaries and retirement parties. Each of those rooms has its own kitchen situation, and the buffet plan changes with it.
We ask on the request form whether the hall has a warming kitchen, a prep table or just an outlet, because that decides how the pans travel from 647 E Market Street and how many we stage. Downtown halls and the East Akron churches are minutes away. Barberton, Norton, Tallmadge and Cuyahoga Falls are inside a short drive, and Canton, Kent and Medina run on a scheduled arrival.

This place offers ALL of your catering needs. I don't believe there is anything she can't provide for you. I have had SO many meals and attended SO many events. The Taste of the City (Akron) she provided so many great "samples". An outdoor hibachi grill party with all the trimmings, steak, shrimp, chicken, rice, fresh vegetables also one of my favorites. The taco bar and loaded potatoes are great for staff meetings. The seafood is always top quality, the largest shrimp! The desserts made from scratch are amazing. How much food do you plan per person on a buffet?
Enough that the last person through the line eats as well as the first. We plan by headcount, event length and how heavy the menu is, and we stage a second pan behind anything that moves fast.
Do you provide the chafing dishes, linens and serving pieces?
Yes. Chafing service, serving utensils, linens for the buffet table and the display pieces come with setup. You provide the tables or tell us what the hall has.
Can someone stay to run the buffet?
Yes. A server on the line keeps pans swapped and the station tidy for the length of the event. Availability varies by date and there is an additional charge, listed on the quote.
What is the difference between a lunch buffet and a dinner buffet price?
The menu. Lunch buffets start at $13 per person and lean on sandwiches, salads and one or two hot dishes. Dinner buffets start at $15 and carry full entrees and sides. Both are floors, built up to your budget per person.
