Taco Bar Catering in Akron, Ohio

A build your own taco bar with the proteins, toppings and sides staged, delivered and set up for staff meetings, parties and casual receptions.

Everyone builds their own plate. Nobody complains.

The taco bar solves the problem every mixed group has: picky eaters, vegetarians, big appetites and small ones at the same table. Proteins in chafing service, warm tortillas, and a toppings line that people assemble themselves. It is the staff meeting favorite in our reviews for a reason.

We stage the bar in the order people build a taco, keep the proteins hot and the toppings cold, and restock the line through the event. Rice, beans and a salad round it out, and dessert cups or a themed cake close it from the same kitchen.

Taco bars price as a lunch or dinner buffet, from $13 per person. Tell us the headcount and the room and we size the line.

Fruit tray of watermelon, strawberries, blueberries, grapes, cantaloupe and pineapple
Brunch grazing table with donuts, cupcakes, crudites, fruit and fresh flowers
Hot buffet line with shrimp and grits, chicken and waffles in chafing pans

Fruit, the grazing table and the hot line, shot on the job.

Staff meetings on Route 18, graduation parties in Ellet.

The taco bar is the order Akron offices send when they want the room to show up. Staff meetings at the clinics along East Market and West Market, lunch and learns in the Route 18 corridor through Fairlawn and Montrose, all hands days at the business parks off Route 8 in Stow and Hudson, and student organization nights at the University of Akron and Kent State.

On weekends the same bar goes to backyards. Graduation open houses in Ellet, Firestone Park and Goodyear Heights, birthday parties in Cuyahoga Falls and Green, and summer gatherings down on the Portage Lakes all run it because it feeds a crowd that arrives in waves. Shelters at Goodyear Heights and Munroe Falls Metro Parks work too, as long as we know there is no kitchen.

Everything is prepped at 647 E Market Street and driven hot, so Kent, Medina and Canton are inside the plan on a scheduled arrival.

What comes with it.

The proteins

Two or three proteins in chafing service, built to your group, with a vegetarian option on the line.

The toppings line

Staged cold in the order people build a taco, and restocked through the event.

Rice, beans and sides

The plate fillers that stretch the bar across a long open house or a hungry crew.

Loaded potato bar

The same build your own idea on a baked potato, often run alongside the taco bar for a staff meeting. It has its own page.

This place offers ALL of your catering needs. I don't believe there is anything she can't provide for you. I have had SO many meals and attended SO many events. The Taste of the City (Akron) she provided so many great "samples". An outdoor hibachi grill party with all the trimmings, steak, shrimp, chicken, rice, fresh vegetables also one of my favorites. The taco bar and loaded potatoes are great for staff meetings. The seafood is always top quality, the largest shrimp! The desserts made from scratch are amazing. Cakes, cheesecakes, individual desserts, it doesn't end. Give them a try! Best prices around with professional service.

Before you book.

How many people does a taco bar work for?
From a 15 person staff meeting to a graduation open house of a couple hundred. The line scales by adding pans and a second toppings station, so tell us the headcount and the room and we size it.
Can the taco bar include vegetarian and gluten free options?
Yes. A vegetarian protein and corn tortillas are easy to include, and toppings are set out separately so guests with allergies can see what they are taking. Put the detail on the request form.
Is a taco bar a drop off or do you set it up?
Either. For an office we can drop and set the line so it is ready when the meeting breaks. For a party someone from the team can stay to keep proteins hot and toppings restocked.
What does a taco bar cost per person?
It prices like a buffet, from $13 per person for lunch and $15 for dinner, depending on the proteins. Those are floors from our request form. Give us a budget per person and we build the bar to it.
