Tasteful Expectations is a local catering business based on East Market Street, with over 10 years of creating unforgettable culinary experiences. We are dedicated to using locally sourced, fresh ingredients so that quality shows up in every dish we serve.

This place offers ALL of your catering needs. I don't believe there is anything she can't provide for you. I have had SO many meals and attended SO many events. The Taste of the City (Akron) she provided so many great "samples". An outdoor hibachi grill party with all the trimmings, steak, shrimp, chicken, rice, fresh vegetables also one of my favorites. The taco bar and loaded potatoes are great for staff meetings. The seafood is always top quality, the largest shrimp! The desserts made from scratch are amazing. Cakes, cheesecakes, individual desserts, it doesn't end. Give them a try! Best prices around with professional service.

We are based in Akron and cater across Summit, Medina, Stark, Cuyahoga and Portage counties. If you are just outside that ring, call and ask. We will tell you honestly whether we can do it well.
What kinds of events do you cater?
Weddings and wedding brunches, corporate luncheons and receptions, birthdays, graduations, showers, repasts and holiday parties. Dessert tables and custom cakes are done in house, so you are not coordinating two vendors.
Do you build custom menus?
Yes. Menus are built around the couple, the company or the family rather than pulled off a package sheet. Tell us what you love and what your guests will not touch, and we will work from there.
Do you do boxed lunches and drop off catering?
Yes. Individually boxed meals work well for training days, job sites and conferences, anywhere a buffet line does not fit the room or the schedule.
How far ahead should I book?
Allow two weeks lead time where you can. Busy weekends fill earlier than that, so if you already have a date it is worth asking now even if the menu is not settled.
