A repast is the one meal nobody should have to plan. The family has a week of decisions already, and the food after the service needs to simply be there: hot, generous, set before the cars arrive from the cemetery, and cleared without anyone asking. That is the job, and we treat it that way.
The menu is a hot buffet in chafing service with sides, salads and desserts, built to the headcount the family expects and to the tradition of the house. Dessert cups and a sheet cake from the same kitchen are usual. We arrive early, set the line, and someone from the team can stay to serve and clear.

Most Akron repasts happen in a church hall. The congregations of Firestone Park, Goodyear Heights, North Hill, Kenmore and the East Side have fellowship halls built for exactly this, and the funeral homes along East and West Market Street and out toward Fairlawn have reception rooms of their own. Some families bring everyone back to the house.
The timing is set by the drive from the cemetery. Glendale, Holy Cross, Rose Hill in Fairlawn and the smaller cemeteries out in the townships each put the hall a different number of minutes away, and we set the line to be ready when the first car pulls in. Our kitchen at 647 E Market Street is central enough that the East Side, downtown and the west side are all a short run.
For families coming in from out of town, Canton, Kent, Medina and Cleveland are inside the service area on a scheduled arrival.

Before you book.
How quickly can you cater a repast?
Sometimes inside the week. Call 330.573.2738 as soon as the service date is set and we will tell you honestly what we can do. The form works too, but a call is faster when the timeline is short.
Do you set up at the church hall and clear afterward?
Yes. We arrive before the service ends, set the buffet in chafing service with the linens and serving pieces, and someone from the team can stay to serve and clear so the family does not have to.
How do you plan the amount when we do not know how many will come?
Give us your best guess and the size of the room. Repasts run generous by design, and the menu is built so a larger crowd than expected still eats well.
Can the menu follow our family’s tradition?
Yes. Tell us the dishes the family expects and the ones to leave off, and whether there are dietary or religious needs. The request form has room for all of it, or tell us on the phone.
