Personal chef catering is the smallest thing we do and one of the most particular. A dinner for two on an anniversary, a table of eight for a birthday, a dozen friends who want to talk without a server interrupting every ten minutes. The menu is written for the people at the table, cooked in your kitchen or finished there, and served at the pace of the evening.
Tell us what the guest of honor loves, what the table will not eat, and how formal the night should feel. Courses can be plated one at a time or set family style. Dessert comes from the same kitchen, and the cleanup is ours.

Akron has the houses for a dinner like this. The older homes along Portage Path and Merriman Road in the Valley have dining rooms built for ten, the brick colonials of Fairlawn Heights and West Akron have kitchens with room to work, and the Victorian blocks around Highland Square have the porches for the first course in June. Hudson, Bath and Copley add the newer houses with the big islands.
A personal chef dinner needs a working stove, counter space and an hour before guests arrive. The request form asks about the kitchen so we know what to cook ahead at 647 E Market Street and what to finish on site. Downtown, the Valley and the west side are minutes away; Hudson, Stow and Green are inside a short drive.
Anniversaries, milestone birthdays, proposals and small holiday dinners are the usual reasons. Date nights at home are a fine reason too.

Before you book.
How small a dinner will you cook for?
A dinner for two is a real booking. Most personal chef nights are six to twelve people. Above that, the same menu usually works better as a plated private catering dinner with a serving team.
Do you cook in my kitchen or bring the food finished?
Both, depending on the menu. Anything that should be cooked to order is finished on your stove. Anything better made ahead is prepared at our kitchen and brought ready. Tell us about your kitchen on the request form and we plan around it.
Can the menu work around allergies and picky eaters?
That is the point of a menu written for the table. Put every restriction and every strong dislike on the request form, and tell us which guest each one belongs to, and the menu is built from there.
What does a personal chef dinner cost?
It prices as a dinner, from $15 per person as the floor from our request form. The menu, the number of courses and on site service move the number, so give us a budget per person and we build the night to it.
