The busiest three weeks of the year, planned in October.
Holiday catering compresses a year of events into the first three weeks of December. Office parties on weekday evenings, department lunches, family gatherings on the weekends, church dinners and client appreciation nights all land in the same stretch. The caterers who do it well plan it in October.
The menus run from a heavy appetizer evening for an office that wants to mingle, to a plated dinner for a company that wants to sit, to a hot buffet for a family of forty. Dessert tables and a cake close the night, and the display can carry the colors of the season or of the company.
Appetizers start at $11 per person, lunch at $13 and dinner at $15. If December is on your mind, send the date now and settle the menu later.

The sweet end of a December evening in Akron.

Akron’s office parties follow its employers: the hospitals along East Market and the west side, the University, the utilities and the towers on South Main downtown, Signet and the Route 18 offices in Fairlawn, and the business parks off Route 8. Many of them book a weekday evening in the first two weeks of December, which is why the calendar fills from the top down.
Family holiday gatherings happen at home across the city, from Firestone Park and Goodyear Heights to Fairlawn Heights and the Valley, and in the church halls that host the congregation dinners. The kitchen at 647 E Market Street runs long hours in December, and the normal delivery ring holds, with Kent, Canton, Medina and Cleveland on scheduled runs.
New Year’s Eve and the week between the holidays book the same way. Ask early.
